A three days field visit on 19th to 21st January 2019 has been organized by the Department of Environmental Technology covering the practical sessions of the Basic Soil Science and Chemicals in the Environment course modules. Students have engaged with field practical and laboratory experiments gaining exposure to field applications regarding the learnt theoretical knowledge.

Students of the Department of Environmental Technology have visited Teejay Lanka PLC at the Seethawaka Export Processing Zone, Industrial Park, Avissawella on 21st of December 2018. A visit to the National Engineering Research and Development Centre (NERD) was conducted on 2nd November 2018 by the Department of Environmental Technology. Students were able to gather practical knowledge on heavy metal analysis under the Chemicals in the Environment Course Module.
