The Department of Instrumentation & Automation Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Colombo, is dedicated to advancing knowledge and skills in modern engineering technologies. We are pleased to introduce our Certificate Course in Novel Technologies for Technical Professionals (Officers, Executives, And Supervisors), designed to meet the growing demand for expertise in instrumentation, automation, and emerging industrial applications.

The program covers a wide spectrum of cutting-edge topics, including sensor technologies, control systems, industrial automation, CAD-CAM, electronics, embedded systems, PLCs, SCADA, pneumatics, robotics, and 3D printing. Participants will also gain exposure to the latest trends in instrumentation and automation to stay ahead in rapidly evolving industries.

Our state-of-the-art laboratories—including CAD-CAM, electronics, automation, robotics, PLC, and 3D printing—are equipped to provide hands-on training alongside theoretical knowledge.
