The Innovation Club of the Faculty of Technology, University of Colombo is a registered student organization that focuses on the is a dynamic and collaborative community dedicated to fostering creativity, problem-solving, and forward-thinking ideas. It serves as a platform for students with diverse interests and skills to come together and explore innovative solutions to various challenges. The club provides a supportive environment where members can exchange ideas, learn from each other, and work on projects that push the boundaries of conventional thinking. We welcome everyone to cultivate a culture of innovation, empowering students to contribute to positive change and make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
The objectives of the Innovation Club are,
- To act as the Innovation Club of the University of Colombo, Faculty of Technology;
- To guide and motivate students to find new innovations;
- To support students in the commercialization of innovations;
- To link students with the external business environment;
- To help students to solve problems that arise new inventions;
- To conduct lectures, training seminars, and demonstrations for students to enhance their skills and knowledge of new inventions;
- To create a team of students with the required knowledge and skills to generate new ideas and solutions to guide them for innovative scientific solutions to solve everyday problems.
The executive committee of the Innovation Club consist of 17 members, such as Senior Treasurer, President, Vice-President, Secretary, Junior Treasurer Editor and 10 members from each department. The Dean of the faculty will be the patron of the society. Membership of the society is free and open to students.
